Who must be vetted

All gardeners
[Gardeners and Domestics will be registered on each individual stand where they are to be employed, and vetting is compulsory for each stand where they are to be registered] - All domestics

What does the process involve

What is the cost
- R170.00 per candidate
Vetting Process
- The applicant [the person who intends employing a gardener or domestic, or the landlord who intends letting a property in the Wilds] must download the MIE vetting document and complete it.
- The applicant must pay the vetting fee to the bank account of the HOA and ensure that a hard copy is available.
- The reference of the payment must always and only be: [Property Stand Number – Vetting]
- Both the applicant and the candidate [the person who will be vetted] must in person attend the registration office at Gate 1.
[Mondays to Fridays between 07:30 and 16:00 [Office closed on weekends and public holidays]
The following must be presented to the officer:
- Original and copy of the Applicants’ and Candidates’ Identity documents
- Proof of vetting fee payment
- Contract of employment or lease
- The officer will then proceed with the vetting process and take the candidate’s fingerprints.
- Only after completion of the vetting process will the candidate be registered on the access control systems.

Vetting Agency
The vetting agency will provide a report within 48 hours.
A copy will be presented to The Wilds management office for record only.
IMPORTANT: IF THE VETTED PERSON DOES HAVE ANY CITATION OR RECORD IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER, TO INFORM THE REGISTRATION OFFICE TO REMOVE THE PERSON
